I'm going to be very blunt about last nights game because in my eyes it was absolutely terrible. Not one player (including myself) put the graft in, worked for the team and wanted to end the game/season with some pride. We just lay down and let Quebec Steelers run amock and embarrass us, which I thought didn't happen any more based off the results since the turn of the year.

But we are just going to have to put this to bed and concentrate on next season. I'm not going to single people out as there is not much point as we didn't have anything to play for and the result meant nothing but I thought we could have finished the game with our heads held high. I mean we didn't look like the same team that played so well against Quebec the previous two games when we matched them all over the park.

On a positive note, the presentation night on the 9th June 2007 is still the date we are having it on, unfortunately team captain Andy McKie can't make it due to family committments but with every other date being unavailable from now until then, he has given me the go ahead to stick with the date.

yes clogger well said....but for no one putting the graft in i have not been to work today cos i have been in A & E this morning and have ripped ligaments in my right knee and the back of me leg and a will not be able to play footy for two months. Thanks lads.

I don't rememeber you even complaining about being injured after or during the game???

Yeah it was shit, I reckon only Paul and possibly Fallon came out with any credit from the game at'll. As you say though it's behind us now and we need to remember how crap this feels so it never happens again. You could see as soon as they went 3 up we just let our heads drop and it made it so much worse the way they were determined to 'rub our noses' in it in the words of Wilf and their general unsporting attitude. I think there's a lot of things that need to be talked about before the start of the next season but lets just enjoy the break and try and keep ourselves in shape for next year.
