Re. Who is the best player overall

Different players playing for the Glen have different qualities but who would you say is the best overall??? I would put a poll on but Paul Luke only allows himself to set them up. I am now going to analyse some of the squad.

In my opinion Paul Cowen is the best player because he is most complete player. He is fast, good at tackling, good in the air and well as good at reading the game.

I would say the best attacking player is Bonze, who again is strong, good in the air and can create and score goals from nothing.

The strongest tackler - that has to be either Paul Bainbridge, Andrew Myers (Clogger) or new signing Michael Burke. The first and last probably just edgeing Clogger out on that category.

I would say Paul Luke could be a better player if he were to look up a little bit more but you cannot fault his committment or work rate.

The most consistant player has to Andrew Fallon. Week in week out he never puts a foot wrong.

Mark Hall (Skid) - even if he had someone challenging him for his Number 1 jersey, he would still get the nod because everyone knows he is probably one of the best keepers around. There is Iain Bestford (Bessie) who is the official number 2, a canny keeper but not worthy of starting between the sticks.

Andrew McKie (Andy Mac) his knees might not be what they used to be but still can put in some good displays, tends not to have the fitness these days but still a decent player.

There is a handful of players within the Glen's squad who are fast - players such as David Cowen, Paul Dixon (Dicka), Rhys Hamilton, Fallon and Paul Luke. It's too close to call who is the fastest overall. We might have to have a race set up at Fyndoune on Tuesday!

There is also Simon Bestford (Tadge) when he can be bothered to turn up on a Sunday morning. That unpredictable left foot of his can turn a game in an instant. Scores some screamers in training but yet to notch this season. Sometimes you wonder if he has his normal glasses on or the ones filled with beer!!

Paul Luke has plenty of energy, do you not mean headless chicken!!!

The Glen have a canny team and it's just a shame they cant get the best 11 on the pitch week in week out!! This would help everyone out including the manager!

I think Davey Cowen is the fatest player in the team, he's like a whippet, but seems to fall to pieces in the box, hence the nickname of jigsaw!

Here's my opinion's on each player.

Skid - The best keeper in local football, without a doubt
Paul Cowen - Top quality, cant really pick a fault!
Fallon - Really consistent, doesn't often get flustered!
Michael Burke - Never seen play
Dicka - Mr fitness, will run all day!
Bainbridge - Would tackle a bull, but often a bit hungover!
Clogger - Good footballer for a big man and quite mobile, although poor disiplnary record!
Bonse - Very skilful players, lots of ability and knows where the goal is!
Paul Luke - Good energy, good pace, could score and create more though!
Andy Mckay - Good left food, good footballer, getting on a bit now though, would like to have seem him play 15 years ago!
Tadge - A class left foot! Reminds me a bit like Chrissy Waddle!
Bessy - An allrounder, in goal, up front, born a footballer! Ha,ha!!
