The Glen's injury crisis. Empty
PostSubject: The Glen's injury crisis.   The Glen's injury crisis. EmptyThu Feb 22, 2007 2:03 am

Nick broke the news the other day about Glen defender Andrew Fallon breaking his thumb. Well he has rang in work this morning and he is going to be off work for 2 - 4 weeks.

The hospital performed surgery on his thumb and have had to reset the base of his thumb and also re-attach two of his tendons as well, and is sporting a pot on his hand.

So this will mean he will be out of action for the Glen for at least 4 - 6 weeks so its a huge blow because he has probably been the Glen's most consistant performer this season.

Not only that but he also picks Dave Burke up from Howden-le-Wear and also picks Nick up from Durham Train Station on a Sunday morning, so if there can't be some sort of arrangements for the pair of them to be picked up, the Glen is going to be up shits creek without a paddle.

So as it stands there is only Paul Cowen who is the only available defender, and that depends on how his hamstring is after pulling up in training on Tuesday. For all Clogger came to training on Tuesday his foot is still not as it should be but only time will tell.

Well done Mr Ace, that's a very good account of my injury.

I see the specialist next Monday to have the stitch's out, but then I'll be in plaster for another fortnight after that...so I'll be missing for 3 weeks as things stand at the minute.

Unfortunately, it means I can't drive either - so unless someone volunteers to pick Dave up, there's gonna be a severe lack of defenders!! He only lives 15 mins from Durham, so it's not too much hassle really.

I'll be coming to watch on Sunday (partially cos I've got the water bottles)if me dad can give me a lift. Anyone know where Gilesgate Travs play?

I'll be asking around at training tonight to see who can pick Dave up on Sunday.

According to the handbook they play at the Belmont Community Centre so if you do a search on Googlemap or summt you should be able to find it alright.
