YESTERDAYS RESULT

What does everyone think about yesterday's result? I think we can take encouragement from the result and we dug in and got the point I thought we deserved!

I totally agree. Pelton had a lot more posession than us but I didn't think they had that many more clear cut chances, most of their efforts were just long range shots. If Bonz had stuck his chance away in the 2nd half I think we would have won the game yesterday.

I think everyone put the graft in but it just proves when we get practically a full strength team out that we can produce performances. Just look at the recent results, we won Bishop Middleham 2-1 and also had 1-1 draws against some of the better teams in our league in Sedgefield, Quebec and Pelton all of which we had good chances to win, but that's because we had the majority of the team turning up.

Obviously when we get Fallon, Dave Burke and Dicka back we should be able to win a few games before the end of the season providing everyone sticks together and bothers to turn up, well done for yesterday Dilly by the way!!!!

A thought the hole team was great yesterday. its a shame we havnt been able to put a full side out all season, but with the night games cuming up and playing all the teams below us then we should climb the league. Clogger that was probleys the best game i've seen you play all year, Dilly and stewy played good aswell. And for myself under performing at the min so i'am pleased we havnt got a full side cos a wont get a game.

Cheers Paul. I was pleased with how I played for 75-80 minutes but I was knarked with myself for the last 10 or 15 minutes when that big lad got in behind me a couple of times because I was so f*cked - I suppose it's because I have only had a couple of training sessions and one game of football with my mates in the last 5 weeks since knacking my foot in. My fitness was starting to show, and lets not have any wise cracks saying "it never is" please!!!!

I just want to finish the season as best I can and hopefully the Glen can finish the season strong as well.

Just seen your ratings Lukee. I think Stewy should get the Star Man award seeing as though he did get Man of the Match yesterday.

And how does Skid get an 8???? He had one save to make or summit!!!! Did he get the rating for the way he kicks the ball from his hands, or the way he bends down to put place the ball on his goal kicks!!! You proper bot him like Punch!!! ha

Cos if it wasnt from skid pulling you out the sh*t then you would be getting a 5! just cos his kicks where bad at times didnt stop him pulling of top class saves. so stop crying clog!

The ratings do suck, I was a 5 at best yesterday I just ran about like a spaz and kept accidentally injuring people. Was a good all round team performance though, Dilly was class and the whole defence played really well as well. Most players had good games really. We should be able to push on now and try and climb a couple of places even if we don't get promotion, there's a lot of new teams joined this year and most of them are decent so if we are in this league next year the teams that demote into it shouldn't be as strong as the new teams.

Well if you look at the teams we still have to play home and away then we still shoud get in the top six. All we need now is to have a bit more confidence in team.

That's what I am saying Punch, yesterday Skid didn't have any saves to make. There was one at his front post which was straight at him. I had to save a shot on the line with my hand yesterday which went un-noticed by the ref, but Skid was well and truly beaten.

Fair enough Skid has made plenty of class saves all season and warrents his class rating for the season but an 8 yesterday for not having to do anything is a bit generous Lukee!!!

I think we should just think about each game as they come and concentrate on winning each of them instead of thinking we should be able to win team a, b or c or whatever otherwise we'll fall flat on our faces - in my opinion.

Ive been given man of the match Clogger so shut it!!!! Ha,ha,ha!!!!

p.s clogger stop looking for the sympathy vote about your fitness/lack of games etc its only sunday league and a natural athlete such as yourself should have no problems in that area!

Clogger, clogger, clogger.........U seem very bitter my dear friend. The boys at the back helped you all game. Skid helped you out yesterday with their old and slightly over-weight striker. I do believe he made 3 top draw saves yesterday and the one that supposingly hit your hand couldn't of done because it was touching their strikers arse. An 8 seems to be fair as if it wasn't for the saves he made your team were surely of been beaten.

Father, you were obviously watching the same game as Lukee - a totally different one mate!!! When did Skid make 3 class saves???

Like I say I'm not criticising Skid's performances as a keeper (because I think he is one of the best around) or criticising him for this season, I just think it's stupid that he gets an 8 for doing f*ck all. Look back to Lukee's ratings in the game when we won 7-1 against East Travellers, Skid, Paul Cowen and Andy Mac got 7's and Bonz got a 9 - I'm sorry like but if a team win's 7-1, those 4 players are NOT the only only ones who deserves a 7+ rating. Loads of people have been saying how the ratings are a shambles and it was mentioned that at the Xmas do that the ratings should be done by someone on the sidelines who can see everything going on around the pitch i.e Dave McKie, Dave Bainbridge or Bessie.

I didn't say I can't cope with the fitness levels of Sunday morning football but if you have a few weeks out its obvious that you are going to tire as the game goes on. Who was wanting a sypathy vote, I was telling it as it was.

I would of given you a nine for your injury roll. Can we have your scores then please of what you think people deserved.

I did think Dilly was our best player by quite a bit but Stewy got MOTM by the opposition so therefor he should get the Star Man rating regardless.

It is only my opinion but I suppose that's what football is about.

I'd say those ratings are fair though I'd give Bonz a 7 not a 6 and Stewy might only get a 7 but then it's difficult to say how defenders do all the time when you're up front. Looked good but not 8/10 good I'd say.

Clogger for f*ck sake stop your crying. Me dad helps with the ratings a think the rating where fare and the only one complaining is you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also a think we did well to get sumthing out of the game so thats why the high rating and if you remember they could have been 4 nil up but skid pulled of two goods saves and you cleared one of the line with your hand. So you will just have to deal with it. Topic finshed!!!!!

Who's crying on Punch, I am pleased to get a 7 but all that I was saying is that I didn't agree with some of the ratings from Sunday, but then again I never do!!!

I'm suprised Paul didn't get 4 assists in Sunday's game, he tends to do that. Even if we got beat 3-0 there would be 2 assists for Paul there!!!! ha ha
